Our 2014 vintage of the well-known and coveted Viognier brings to the palate delicate flavors of pineapple, green apple, and stone-fruit. This vintage is conversely backed with the richer notes of orange blossom and honeysuckle.

Our Viognier utilizes Neutral Oak and is fermented in old barrels to sustain its deep richness. We also have our Viognier go through secondary malolactic fermentation, which converts malic acid to lactic acid, creating a softer mouth feel. John says: “Wines should be supple and soft and not an assault on your palette”, and this is exactly what you can come to expect from our deliciously rich and unique 2014 Viognier.

The grapes are sourced from our estate vineyard, organically grown in Dry Creek Valley, as well as a hillside vineyard on West Side Road, overlooking the Russian River. The Hawley fruit is always intense with high acidity and flavors of tangerine and peach, while the West Side Road vineyard is more tropical with flavors of Pineapple and passion fruit. The combination of the two sources makes for a mélange of fruit and floral notes with a balanced acidity and soft mouth-feel.
