The Oehlman Vineyard, nestled in Russian River Valley, grows 100% martini clone Pinot Noir. So absolutely seamless has our experience been making award-winning wine from Oehlman Vineyard fruit, that we are proud to introduce yet another mouth-watering vintage which has already received rave reviews from California Grapevine and Wine Enthusiast. This wine is a lot like diving into a bushel of bright red cherries; a lovely Burgundy hue in the glass promises a taste bud adventure. The aroma of crushed red berries, strawberry rhubarb pie and baking spice greet you in the glass. Medium-bodied with bright acidity on the palate, hints of warm toasted vanilla and rose pedal crescendo with a luscious cherry finish and light tannins. Pair this wine with roasted duck, pork tenderloin or even southern fried chicken and biscuits.
90 Points! Medium-light ruby; assertive, fragrant, raspberry and red cherry fruit aroma with hints of black tea, vanilla, and baking spices; medium to medium-full body; slightly plummy, red fruit flavors with herbal notes, good acid balance, and some richness in the mouthfeel; medium tannin; lingering aftertaste. Very appealing to taste now, though deserving a few more years of bottle aging. Very highly recommended. - CA Grapevine Review
