2016 Pinot Noir, Desmond Vineyard
90 points - CA Grapevine Review
Silver Medal- SF Chronicle Wine Competition
Thick coastal fog creeps through the valley to be chased off by morning sunshine. This combination of cool nights and warm days provides the ideal climate for Pinot Noir. Desmond Vineyard is sustainably farmed along Starr Road in Russian River Valley. An elegantly fragrant Pinot Noir with a bouquet of rose petals and raspberries, followed by notes of baking spices. Silky mouthfeel and great acidity. Flavors of red fruit, mocha, black tea, and clove with a touch of toasted vanilla.
"Medium-light ruby; attractive, fragrant, spicy, raspberry and cherry fruit aroma with hints of baking spices and mocha; medium body; elegantly styled red fruit flavors with bright acidity and a silky mouthfeel; medium tannin; lingering aftertaste. Enjoyable now and over the next year or two. Very highly recommended." - CA Grapevine Review
