2017 Rosé, Dry Creek Valley
Gold Medal - SF Chronicle
90 points - Wine Enthusiast
We can’t say it enough: We love mountain grown fruit! The vine’s roots struggle to find nutrients in the higher elevation soil and thus produce small berries with big, complex flavors. Our Rosé is made from Zinfandel fruit grown next door to our winery on Bradford mountain, and this fine 2017 vintage won a Gold Medal right outta the gate! Rosé color can vary quite a bit with each producer and vintage, but also depends greatly on the amount of time the juice mingles with the grape skins. In the glass, our Rosé is a beautiful salmon hue, with aromas of wild strawberry, Fuji apple and sweet lychee. As juicy as biting into a tart, crisp apple; this graceful Rosé is dry, clean and blooms with flavors of melon, pomegranate and hibiscus. This wine best accompanies a picnic with friends; think turkey sandwiches, aged Manchego, Marcona almonds and a crisp salad.
"Medium bodied and moderately pink in color, this wine is fleshy and creamy on the palate, with body to spare. Cherry and raspberry flavors highlight the experience." Wine Enthusiast
