2018 Cabernet Franc, Goldbud Vineyard
New Release for Club Members in Spring 2021!
A new vineyard source for Hawley! This Cabernet Franc is grown on the steep hillsides of the famous Goldbud Vineyard & Farms in Sierra Foothills, just north of Placerville, CA. The vineyards grow next to their vast orchards which bear apples, peaches, nectarines, plums, pears and more- which make it a mecca for sweet ripe fruit lovers during the summer months. The farming team, including owner and founder Ron Mansfield, is proud of their sustainable growing methods. Ron became somewhat of an icon in the agriculture field in El Dorado County, by bringing new farming ideas and outreach efforts to the area after he finished studying renewable natural resources at U.C. Davis (same school as John Hawley) in the mid 1970's.
