90 Points - CA Grapevine Review
This is a new vineyard source, hailing from just down the road from the old Ponzo Vineyard- we are proud to introduce the Alegria Vineyard! Owned by Acorn Winery, the Alegria Vineyard's Zinfandel vines are planted to a field blend of Zinfandel, Alicante Bouschet and Petite Sirah, but also including a few small amounts of Carignan, Trousseau, Petite Bouschet, Negrete, Tannat, Muscat Noir, Palomino, and Monbadon vines. This upper corner of the Russian River Valley is slightly warmer than the rest of its viticulture area (AVA) and a stones throw from Downtown Healdsburg.

On the nose: Fragrant floral and herb notes, baking spice, and cocoa. On the palate: Full bodied, blackberry, ripe raspberry, olive, vanilla oak and cola
"Medium-dark ruby; fragrant, ripe, spicy, red and black berry, and dark cherry fruit aroma with hints of cinnamon, chocolate, dried herbs, and sandalwood; full body; deep, rich, ripe, rounded, briary, peppery, red and black fruit flavors with undertones of toasty oak and some creaminess in the mouthfeel; full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Shows appealing, youthful richness, but deserves a few more years of bottle aging. Very highly recommended." - CA Grapevine Review
"A field blend with small amounts of Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet, this hearty red is thick in interwoven tannin and brawny oak, with a plush mouthfeel throughout. Dark, brooding notes of plum, blackberry and leather lead to a nutmeg-laden finish." - Wine Enthusiast
