2019 Sauvignon Blanc, Hopkins River Ranch
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast!
Our latest release from the Hopkins River Ranch Vineyard in Russian River Valley. The fruit comes from two different blocks on the vineyard, one up on a hillside and one down in the valley along the river. The upper block ripens faster and offers more tropical flavors, whereas the lower block ripens slower, has a brighter acidity and more grassy notes. The blend of the two makes a perfectly balanced and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc!
Tasting Notes
Lychee, gooseberry, Asian Pear, lime/citrus/grapefruit, banana, honeydew, mango, guava, grassy. Crisp, clean, refreshing, lingering bright acidity, well-balanced in the mouth.
"Lime, lemon and salty wet stone combine invitingly in this crisp white wine, tart in lasting acidity. Light bodied and balanced in ripeness, it develops further characteristics of green apple, melon and peach as it opens in the glass." - Wine Enthusiast's Virginie Boone - December 2020 Issue
